This year began with lots of work, and then a very welcome break in the Blue Mountains, NSW, participating in a landscape workshop with John Wilson. Here is piece one, the second is not yet complete, so I'll post it and the progress soon. Very different techniques for me, and since I've been avoiding landscape work largely, learnt quite alot. Notice my nifty new toy in the background, my Jullian box easel - love it! This piece is 300 x 400mm.

So, since returning home, I've actually been dedicating time to painting more, firstly finishing off some old pieces, and starting new ones. Bursting at the seams to paint these days, and finally taking full advantage of this new productive energy!

This piece was started roughly 2 years ago - see archives for early progress. Now ready to hang in a local Massage Studio. Untitled 1800 x 600mm.

Ok, its about time I posted my efforts from last July's workshop at the National Art School in Sydney (only a year overdue!) Using old school techniques to reproduce a 'master' piece. See if you can recognise the original painter.

Plus to ease the pain of thin postings, I have a couple of new landscapes recently commissioned

progress report

Ok, so I'm back at the easle and wanted to share what I'm working on...

I was hoping to have this piece finished for an upcoming local exhibition, but there's still a bit of work to do and unfortunately it wont be dry in time.

Here are a couple of other works in progress:

In the foreground is a preliminary test for a larger piece. The canvas in the background is part of a series, each 2metres long, and will be revealed at a later date..
